Sickeningly sweet was
The apple's bitter skin;
It made her forget
How the witch came in.
Days passed without her;
Time's hair was thinning.
She kept on sleeping.
World kept on spinning.
The Seven stood by her
hoping she would wake,
Not knowing how long
Her slumber would take.
Nights arrived quickly,
Mornings came too soon.
Nothing seemed constant
But the things that loom.
What was wrong with the
Girl, whom was like the snow?
Others tried to help but
They didn't seem to know.
The Seven kept waiting
With their loving care,
Wondering how she
Could have gotten there.
Lying beneath the glass,
Locked inside a spell,
The girl trapped in dreams
Knew all wasn't well.
Days passed without her,
Leaving nothing found.
Still she kept sleeping.
World kept whirling ‘round.
Then that lovely morning,
The morning of Someday,
He woke her and cast
"Sleeping Death" away.
