A Sequel of Sorts...

Ascending 

The shadows leer, 

Then shadows lie

And break away in flight.

The shadows lose,

Then shadows lift

And fade away in light.

The worries skip,

The worries skid 

And change with the season.

The worries slide,

Then worries slip

And give way to reason. 

The fears creep

Then fears crawl

And slowly start to tear.

The fears cramp, 

Then fears cave 

And break away with wear. 

The hopes spark,

Then hopes spring
And catch the breath to shout.

The hopes sheen,

Then hopes shine
And soar above the doubt.

The laughs lead,
Then laughs lend
And give courage to dive.
The laughs leap,
Then laughs live
And make us feel alive. 

The joy flits,
Then joy finds
And unfolds forgotten maps.
The joy frees,
Then joy floods
And fills in all the gaps.
